Tesla Robots Were Remotely Operated by Humans at Cybercab Launch
Tesla Inc. used humans to remotely control some capabilities of its Optimus robot prototypes at a recent event designed to generate investor enthusiasm for forthcoming products, according to people familiar with the matter.
Employees stationed elsewhere oversaw many of the interactions between the humanoid machines and attendees of last weekโs โWe, Robotโ showcase near Los Angeles, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing company operations. The Optimus prototypes were able to walk without external control using artificial intelligence, the people said.

In the future, rich people will be served by robots operated by poor people because the software wonโt be good enough.
Way ahead of everyone else. Teleoprated or not.
Ok we all suspected it was like that , but like you said tesla did not disclose how it was done so i was hoping you back your video claiming it done like this with some proof of any kind …….
Of course they were tele-operated. The interaction otherwise would not be using real voices and gestures.
Eventually a paralyzed person put glasses on and be the robot. Drive, go to the store. Do laundry. Make lunch etc
Agi will change the world ๐
Tesla sucks They're still just remote control cars
This is basically the robot guy from jiujitsu kaisen, a way for people to be somewhere or do things they otherwise wouldnt be able to do because of health or sickness
So they're selling used to the public already how does that work is someone just behind a computer controlling that person's robot
Honestly, it was pretty obvious that telepresence was involved in the demonstration. Hanson robotics and Engineered Arts have done the same thing at trade-shows, and were far less candid about it.
My concern will always be that it could be controlled at anytime by its company. It's like having a giant webcam with mic and that moves and follow commands inside your house. If we can't fully turn off a cellphone, imagine these.
Ok. Listen. The teleoperation was AMAZING! Who else has a humanoid robot to do that?! Figure .02? Sure. Can it scale?
Awesome man i love youโคโค๐๐๐you are the greatest god truly bless you cover you totally Amenโคโคโคโคโคโคโคโคโค๐๐๐
Itโs still good with remote control. But there is a long way to go to reach an autonomous, trained robot.
Behold the prototype for the T-800
I guess everyone can work from home now!๐ฎ
Woah, thatโs even cooler! He made effinโ avatars!๐
What a hater. ๐
I wonder if tesla and Musk are pondering the idea of a transfer of memory or conscience to a bot. That would be wild, crazy, and a little scary all at once.
Still more advanced than last time we saw them, the bots were tethered at some point. Now fully free of the leash, itโs only gonna get better
This robot is amazing to look at and conversate with. ๐ congrats Elon.
Did Tesla shoot itself in the foot by doing this? It doesn't smell good
People who donโt know robotics donโt understand how impressive this is. Building a mechanical body that is dexterous enough to play rock paper scissors and pour drinks from a tap is incredibly difficult, even with remote control. If the body is already this advanced, given how quickly AI is advancing the concept is still very achievable in the next decade.
Not true
Wow ๐ฎ
Wow! What a discovery!!! ๐ shut up and do some real journalism ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
This is based on a mere opinionโฆโฆ
Whatโs your source on this, why should I believe you?
Do you realize how INCREDIBLY useful remotely operated robots could be? I have two aging parents that live far away. If I could remotely operate a robot at my Parent's house, and talk to them thru it from my house, 1,000 miles away… THAT WOULD BE INCREDIBLE.
Imagine what these robots could do with guns. Even if they are not fully operated by ai they could still be deadly.
"Fool me once, shame on you . . ."
Blatantly shows you that Elon Musk is given the people misinformation misleading the public lying propaganda. What a joke.
Yeah I thought so
But thatโs just software programming and coding
The robotics part is done which is the hardest part
Oh so the reason they were not very good is because they couldnt make something not good enough better in 3 weeks. Ok got it, enough with the "Elon is my hero" bro.
Tony stark made this in a month, in a cave with primitive tools. Elon is not tony stark. Elon is iron monger.
Cover up post js
The fact It can be teleoperated that way surprises me even more than a fully autonomous version. Of course a future AI Model will operate it too by itself but the current AIs are chatbots, the level of AI that is required to control a full body is an Agent, a completed spirit that takes possession of the physical creature.
I will be back
I really appreciate your efforts! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
DARK MAGA MUSK…
America is still waiting for the 2020 Tesla Roadster…
It was so obvious it was laughable to watch people speaking to the as if it were true AI Robot speaking.
It's as FRAUDULENT as Tesla's $12,000 autonomous driving…
Lets be real, that's still impressive, it's basically an avatar in real life, a remotelly controlled humanoid body,
