Hereditary was sooo bad. Not scary AT ALL imo. The best parts were shown in the preview and after the first part of the movie was over it was all downhill. So boring. That ending!! 🤦🏼‍♀️lol. I was very disappointed and I had looked so forward to seeing it.

Sinister was a really good movie, but it wasn't very scary to me. It was an interesting concept and there was a solid jumpscare or two, but definitely not ad scary as people made it out to be.

The Conjuring is obviously really good and I felt it was probably the last movie that scared me during quite a few scenes. Great sound design and good all around movie. Can't think of any major flaws off the top of my head.

Insidious was good and had one of the coolest jumpscares in horror movie in my opinion. Many scenes were set up really well to deliver the creepy/scary vibe, but the biggest weakness was the ending when it showed the demon and his goofy makeup and fake feet. The beauty of the movie up to that point was that the demon was only shown really fast, very view details could be made out, and it was talked about. That allowed our imagination to take those details and run with them, which is far scarier than anything the movie could've given us. After revealing the demon that magic is gone because your brain conprehends what its seeing and puts the, "it looks like a dude in an outfit" thought at the front of your mind.

Hereditary was an awesome horror film that delivered the creepy vibes quite a bit, and then hit the scary vibes towards the end. It was a little slow for some people, but to me the biggest flaw was the very last scene, which is just a massive exposition dump so you wouldn't leave the movie asking too many questions.

And I haven't seen the Host yet and I know nothing about it. I might watch it soon and if I find this video and my comment again I'll update it with my thoughts.

None of these are scary but Host is probably the lamest and least scary of them all 😂
