What is the service life of these machines. Can a robot fix a robot.
Very cool, great stuff Superman
Battery life 10 min
Gee, what would China do if they had nobody to plagiarize from?
Does Atlas understand the humor behind his Hotdog costume?
I always hoped that the cylon war wouldn't kick off until after my lifetime
There y'go. Humans are redundant…
They can help me in the restaurant.
Thank you at last some objectivity when it comes to judging the relative capabilities of competing robots. Far too much direct and indirect pr campaigning going on here when it comes to supposedly independent Channels.
I think the weird movements are jarring and off-putting. PS can he function on Mars?
And what happens to the humans who do these jobs to survive and support their family. Big Tech CEO's are ok.
Did anyone else noticed he jumped back as if he was scared at minute 4:30?
Not sure why it needs to be humanoid. Seems like a limited function design based on aesthetics over practicality and efficiency.
And all the hype I seem to hear is elonโs robots that are operated by humans remotely as โamazing AI robotsโ. This reminds me of the The One Electronic (T-O-E) from the Rice Boy web comic
I liked how they talked about Atlas ,,,then went off into hw China is kicking everyones butts with much better stuff ,,, and already on the market ….chheeech
Replacing the human workforce with robotics is fine as long the people whose jobs they steal are satisfactorily compensated! IE, they're basic needs are met (housing, food, transportation, healthcare, education, employment in other fields if desired, quality of life, surplus funds for entertainment, gifting, vacations & miscellaneous purchases) at a middle-class level. What, however, do you have in mind for "RoboCops" & military "AiGis"? That's where the real horror begins when dictators use them to suppress & enslave whole populations. No need to worry here in the US though. We'd never elect a dictator! … right?!?!
if no human has a job
then they don't have ๐ต
to pay for the stuff the robots make
LET'S GO F.E.A.R!
We could use these for military defense. Imagine a super strong, super fast, armored robots, armed with assault rifles and computer aiming. Even a couple of them could wipe out an entire army of humans.
While these robots are undeniably cool, on a technological level, it is an unfortunate fact that they will be used to replace human workers.
Honestly, what will the masses be able to do to compete with the greed of the already out of control "masters" of our economies?
If nothing is done to reign these individuals in, the future seems very bleak for the average person.
We have failed as a race alone , we will have to move aside
It is amazing. I would like to think that this will liberate people from repetitive tasks etc., but it wonโt. It will further impoverish them.
So once robots replace humans, and humans become unemployed, have no money….who will by all the things robots are building? Other robots?
Can it repair itself and build copies of itself? No? Then it is not fully autonomous.
