Remember they don't have Free will so they're just doing what the physical laws of the universe led them to do.
Sabine: I'm a long time watcher and firstly I appreciate the knowledge that you've given out to us for those who aren't deep in physics frameworks. My thoughts when watching this video are as follows
Thank you for being honest about your mental health to your channel. It means a lot to those who see you as a person and not just a source of entertainment while doing their day job. My interest is in the idea about whether or not it's possible for scientists to put academia aside as well as experiments aside in order to provide some amount of order to society first … in as kind a way as possible.
When trying to create a theory of everything: yes, it makes sense to start with what is inert and easily manipulated however, the piece which has been avoided again and again are the people. People are a part of physics. They are also a complex bundle of love, hate, and weirdness. Understanding people in a way that fits with the physics theory of everything would probably be the next step in progressing towards whatever lay in store for scientists and researchers and theorists. That's just my dos centavos.
11:47 This is so telling on themselves. If they were the type to value truth in science, even if it contradicts the mainstream, they'd know exactly where you're coming from.
Your Lisa example gave me a thought – we've already been there in early "natural science" and medicine. For more than a hundred years. Maybe particle physics can be saved… And maybe even… Social sciences?
Sabine, I'm truly sorry that you are being treated like the Elon Musk of science! You both expose the waste, fraud and abuse, only to be attacked ad hominem (personal attacks instead of attacking your claims). One can only imagine the stress this puts on you–I hope you've found an effective way to compartmentalize their evil.
Meanwhile, I look forward to more of your science-topic uploads sans politics. You only ever need defend your science conclusions with me, never your personal attributes! Much love from America!
Now do mRNA…
We should let homeless people live in particle accelerators.
I do not have science education I’m a stand up comedian so I appreciate you keeping your videos understandable to the plebs I love you Sabine!!!!!
Respectless 😂
Sabine may not have been canceled yet because casting doubt on science has been very popular among conservatives in the USA. I still think Sabine is doing the right thing.
See, I had to abandon the romantic dream of roaming the steppes/jungles with a bow and spear and conquering stuff or making a bank by braving the silk road because that's just unrealistic in relation to our modern world. But if you have a dream of becoming an Einstein by getting bogged down in ideas which don't have any relation to the modern physics you can just become a premiere scientist, write some pop-science books, cameo in a few documentaries and build yourself a nice house for the money you got from it. While being incredibly dissatisfied because you're still not an Einstein and you're now being criticised on YouTube by some German woman who used to work in your field which the best you can do about is screech.
Stay strong Sabine. 95% of the clowns attacking you don't have the intelligence to stay with you for very long.
I studied (engineering) physics in the 90s out of a pure curiosity to get more and more why questions answered and am happy that i chose a career in engineering and not in science. Already at the turn of the century i was tired of physics preaching nonsense (string theory) and its lack of direction and results. It's quite sad that here we are some 25 years later an physicists still pushing dogma rather than actually sensible stuff
I quit studying theoretical particle physics because a large contributing factor was that even my professors couldn't give me answers to some contradictions that have been told in astro particle physics. Since I'm doing software development now I think TTP would benefit from some "refactoring" like you should do with source codes to keep them understandable and maintainable which means easy to find issues and inconsitencies in them (bugs) which otherwise you just find in "experiments" (tests). I also think it's not a step forward that one relies on ancient methods for predictions. I'm quite interesting in Wolfram's approach. Maybe analytical math cannot deliver answers anymore since the universe simply does not do analytical math. Analytical approximations using infinities and such are limited approximations to the real universe and they only work up to a certain point.
"Burke! Don't you have any idea what you have done here? Well, I'm gonna make sure they nail you right to the wall for this! You're not gonna sleaze your way out of this one! Right to the wall!", Ripley quote in the movie Aliens (1986)
'Dark sectors of particles' (!?)
(I missed that one..)😊
I suspect the real value in building these collider in the future will be the institutional knowledge of making large high precision magnetic structures.
Weirdly, I bet these constructions will be valuable for fusion reactors. Not having anything to do with particle physics, but instead the structural know how.
I will always watch you in preference 😊
Sounds to me like modern day physicists went to the same school as climate change scientists.
I was a big fan of yours. Read even your books. But now I found out about your endorsment of book ‚The War on Science‘ – which is edited by a guy with sexual harrasment issues, contributed to by Jordan Peterson the Double-Helix-Mushroom guy and other right-wing/conservative ‚Scientists‘. Oh well, I need to stop believing in people.
Sabine can you make an episode on the podcast Telepathy Tapes and the validity (or not) of the research behind these kinds of accounts! Love your channel!
Very disappointing to see you authoring a testimonial for a disingenuous, ill informed, far right grievance novel about DEI destroying science (and you know, not Christian nationalism, conspiracy theories, mass firings, defunding establishments, etc). Maybe this is contributing to hate against you too?
Sabine, your observations are received by anger. The root of anger is fear. The fear is created by the fact that your criticisms have truth in them, and the truth threatens cushy jobs and easier thinking. You are the one taking the high ground; keep going!
Nonsense research into physics? This would be like a perpetual machine of funding the scientific community! The law of energy conservation says otherwise and impossible??? I think??? 🤔
I see what you are saying, fraulein, so what would you have them do? Put the LHC in mothballs for 100 years until they come up with a provable theory?
Bravo 👏👏👏👏
Any comment on this ?

I love your sense of humor.
You're amazing!
Todays nonsense providers are absolute idiots0. Sabina, what is the frequency of the energy that makes up matter?
I think if I were her, I would feel the exact same way. Great video.
Sabina sounds somewhat like Galileo, who is often called the 'Father of Experimental Science'. In his day, there were some who called themselves 'Natural Philisophers'. They used words and phrases to describe Nature and, increasingly, came to regard their terminology as the Reality Itself, rather than tying it back to observable Nature.
Thus, they would "explain" things (like living organisms or planetary motions) by reference to their verbal constructs. They soon altogether lost contact with the Real World.
Galileo ridiculed them, by pointing out that "the Philosophers explain things in terms of Sympathies and Antipathies, Occult Properties and Hidden Influences, which are but a substitute for the more honest phrase, which would be 'I do not know!'."
They only care about money and fame.
If u try take it away from them, they cry like baby's
You are a person of rare integrity.
We are REALLY struggling to make ends meet right now. We can't get healthcare. We are losing the jobs we love. We are watching the environment go out of the window as economic margins bite. We love science. But things like the thought of another LHC are a slap in the face. Thank you Sabine, your sensitivity and perspective is appreciated. I want to enjoy science, but i can't if it abuses me. I've already given up on technology after watching the billionaire sicofants, and their sicofant california/seattle technocrat playboy/girl employees.
As always, I love you and your wonderfully rebellious rants. You mentioned a couple of options in this for research you think it is a good idea; I'd love to see a whole episode on that. Thanks again!
Everybody is driving in the wrong lane.
From time to time assume you are the problem, even if it feela absurd.
My physical chemistry professor always said that physics won't progress until the current generation of physicists are dead.
To paraphrase George Orwell: "There is nothing foolish enough in which certain intellectuals won't believe".
Thank you Sabine, I have followed you for awhile now. It is refreshing to hear someone sensible who isn't afraid to make waves about things that are a waste of time and money with little to no return for the effort.
ADD: As one of my anonymous client said to me: "Science this days happens not in academia , but rather in private sector yeah military about all of the industries".
I totally agree with this statement!
Isn't the first thing that you learn as a scientist to not question what people tell you?
Ai : Hold my beers
woke physics. haha what a joke.
