This was one of the most research-intensive debriefs that I've covered on this channel. Thank you all for your continued support on the channel and Patreon!
Here's another debrief of a flight instructor that got his student killed: https://youtu.be/r_zY0BSklAE

  2. This statement is to not directed towards the complete narcissistic idiot who has blood on his hands who should've in no way been anywhere near a plane

The only true pandemic that ive seen in my 50 years on this rock is the complete infestation of negligent people, companies, govt, etc thats spreading like a wildfire of biblical proportions. No matter if you go to the corner gas station or to 1600 Pennsylvania and everything inbetween, negligence, laziness and a lack of humbleness will not be hard to find. People such as this creator, and other professionals in their respected fields, have to speak up and try to make a difference.

  3. I have a fear of flying, even commercial flights give me anxiety. But for some reason I enjoy this channel. This story however is a story of tragedy, incompetence at multiple levels, and deception. I hope the instructor is put under the jail

  4. Lately it seems like the FAA doesn't do their job well, the NTSB doesn't do a thorough job, and that Piper airplanes have killed a lot of people because of the 1 door strategy. It's making me re-think my wanting to get PPL at all

  5. The explanation of the crosswind in the manual is incorrect. It is not the "manufacture's maximum "RECOMMENDED" crosswind component. It is the maximum DEMONSTRATED crosswind component during FCC testing.

  6. Did McPherson go to jail for manslaughter at least? Good grief. And the flight school… Why didn't the FAA contact his employer? And why didn't the flight school do their due diligence when they hired him? It's a chain of errors. This man should be locked up.

    Note: you answered these questions.

  7. The FAA Safety reporting line is a joke. I called with a concern about a flight instructor with erratic behavior – to the point airport police warned him not to go on the property of the maintenance facility or have any contact with the employees or he would be arrested for trespassing. This instructor is also a long time FAAST team member. The FAA rep initially told me there has been unconfirmed reports of "off" behavior about him in the past but the reports were never followed up because they came to the FAA's attention second hand.
A few days later the instructor self reported the incident with the airport police to his FAAST team supervisor. The FAA / FAAST reps than immediately activated the Good Old Boy (GOB) network and circled the wagons around this guy to the point of denying the initial rep had said they had other reports of him. " We can do this the easy way or we can do this a hard way" was the veiled threat if I didn't drop this issue. The hard way being they were going to comb through my fly club's maintenance records for repairs done by club members and not signed off. At the end of the day we came out fine but the FAA sure did circle the wagons when one of their own was called out for unprofessional behavior.

  8. The fact Phillips license was expired doesn't deem him as a Fake Flight Instructor. He has plenty of experience in this, Even if his license was valid this event would have still happened because something was wrong with the plane.

  9. So you’re telling me this guy has crashed a plane as a flight instructor before so how is he still a flight instructor how would anyone have let that happen?? if you ask me if you crash a plane while you’re a flight instructor while you’re flying the plane with a student on board yeah you should be done with your career as a flight instructor maybe seek out a different career and stay away from airplanes
