can you send me a picture of how the cdl is linked, i have a ‘00 discovery 2 and the previous owner 10 years ago had done the same thing but that socket extension was left by the gear shifter and doesn’t have anything coming from it. just want to see a picture to replicate yours. thank you

First mistake it's not a car it's a SUV sport utility vehicle and a second mistake, snorkel head facing backward. Yeah, I know, no bugs or anything in snorkel, yeah, but it has an air filter to catch dirt . It's not a damper you mean steering stabilizer, why so many correct comments I own a 04 D2 and I take pride in my rover being respected it's has a bad reputation on maintenance , and I don't like the rear end belly tucked meaning cutting off about 4inch off lower quarter panel looks like a bowl hair cut 🤔😁 , to stop the water leak remove head liner and fix leak rust will lower resale , I have pulled down my headliner replacing headliner adding kilmat sound deadening and repair my rear sunroof rails and clean drain plugs , if you go on bring a trailer auction site you will see the resale value a man in Colorado sold his for 45k I have same color and upgrades he replaced 4.6 engine with a more reliable 5.3 ls v8 , final thought if you looking for friends to overlanding camping go land rover forums you find like minded people, in usa the 4.6 outdated engine has not much performance upgrade all you can do is update cylinder liner better head gasket and own a second vehicle as this one has maintenance issues I also own a 07 lr3 planning a future buy of a defender 130 truck but anyway good luck on your journey of land rover ownership

can you put a link with floor mats? please? Also, about your water ingress: you are not getting water through that rubber seal below the shield (that you pointed out in the video). Water sliding there, just ends up below the windshield ,at the base of the hood, and it has channels to drain out. The main issue is at the upper corner drip rails (those rounded plastic corner rails, on each of the upper corners of the windscreen). You need to take out the exterior black plastic trim that covers both A pillars, then you can take out the corner drip rails, and below them is your problem. You can write me, if you want, and I can guide you step by step where the issue is. I have another water ingress at the feet of the driver (carpet is wet) and it drives me crazy as I don't know where it's coming from. Also, mechanically wise: check or replace front ball joints , if worn out, they can cause the front half-shafts seals to leak. Check the FPR (fuel pressure regulator, near the engine) that it doesnt leak diesel. Make sure the oil cooler is ok, so you don't end up with oil mixing with antifreeze. Make sure your fuel cooler is not leaking coolant when the car is stationary for long periods of time in the cold. I can write you an entire book on the car (I own one, in Iasi, since 2020).
