Extraction of lithium destroys the environment once, but the second time is even worse because no one can recycle billions of old batteries. How many years will your electric car battery last? After 7 years, it is practically useless! Imagine what territory would be occupied by storing billions of batteries, given that only one billion people in the world will buy an electric car every 7 years!??? China do everithing for money regardless of ecology and future problems!

Love the tech! Much be great fun to be on the R@D team. My desires focus on small vessels for the coastal Alaskan Waters. A BYD 40 foot workboat, taxi, filming, and demonstration vessel to start. Seriously, Near shore ocean travel with BYD energy systems onboard would be very timely. The fast coastal developments in Alaskan Waters would love BYDs advanced energy systems. Might as well build a new vessel with BYD than, convert a small efficient ocean trawler. We want to partner with BYD marine R@D and build up a small aluminum boat building plant fro vessels under 65 feet. Have you heard of the Diesel Duck Trawlers being built in China. Maybe a BYD motorsailer is in order for the North Pacific. Can I help, I have land and tools, dreams as well…

I guess the maker of this video. Hasn't caught up witth he news? BYD just announced a breakthrough in battery charging technology. You will be able to charge your electric vehicle now in about 5 minutes. Their first model is coming out in April.
