[Applause] okay I’m safe under here Hey Okay All right I got to be quiet just in case they’re around But I’m going to tell anyone watching this about these things that just came to Earth out of nowhere They don’t have a name At least not yet Based off what they look like I wouldn’t think it’s easy to find a name to base off of them They’re crazy looking Whenever the things first came they didn’t show themselves at all They were a lot smaller You barely got a chance to get a glance before they ran away At least that’s what my grandpa told me I’ve been watching them for a while now Ever since I was a kid actually And whatever my grandpa told me was totally wrong They’re completely different Things are a lot bigger louder and they don’t hide anymore They chase you [Applause] They’re pretty fast too Way faster than me but I’m able to get away most of the time if I find a place to hide They don’t only go after us though They go after animals too Sometimes I accidentally find one eating his meal It’s actually a good distraction cuz that means I get to get away I’m still confused by something Why did my grandpa’s picture of them always look so different from what they have now I think I found out and it took me a while For the sake of simplicity I’ll just call the old one version one and the bigger scarier one version two Over my life I’ve seen version one a few times but I’ve also noticed that they’ve been slowly dying off While this happens version two has been thriving somehow And I think it’s because of their differences There’s three ways that a creature adapts through structural behavioral and physiological adaptations is how they how they adapt their environment Structural is about how animals or in this case the creatures are built how their body adapts to the environment is about the behaviors that they exhibit over time and how they change based on what they need to do Physiological is about internal internal things that change over time such as like a spider spinning its web Okay give me a second I catch my breath Version one differed from version two in many ways It was a lot slower which had to do with the shorter legs This was an adaptation for hunting animals and eventually people too which was an amazing discovery whenever I saw a dead body just out in the middle of nowhere Bite marks all over it I really don’t like talking about that kind of stuff Makes me uncomfortable but I already started so well Version two also had new behaviors as well First version two was solitary just like version one But recently they’ve begun to hunt in packs with my very elaborate strategies too They don’t like loud noises like fireworks or gunshots Whether a gunshot actually damages them I will never know because I’m too scared to shoot them and they move way too fast for me to get a good shot Anyway I’m trying to take pictures most of the time so I’m not really reaching for my gun unless I really have to I also noticed one strange physiological adaptation
