It probably wouldn't be that difficult for manufacturers to have sensors that detect water ingress and inverted orientation and then crack the window or open the door via explosive bolts or something. At the very least give the driver a panic button that can be pressed to whatever is necessary to get the passengers out.

What's stopping the glass from being broken? Seems like all that pressure is only going to make it easier to shatter.
what about you let the water fill up the car try to breathe with the rest of the air on the roof , once car is filled up the pressure is nul right ?
