Turning Trash into Treasure: The Surprising Robot Built from Cereal Boxes

Kekoto Maane built the world’s weirdest recycling project: Cereal Killer.

It is a combat robot made from old cereal boxes taped and glued together, with a TPU body into a control bot by ingenius builder Kekote Maane.

It has won fights in the past by demonstrating both control and aggression by capturing it’s opponents. These are two of the three judging criteria at NHRL.

Cereal Killer v Milktank became a viral hit during an exhibition match when Milktank (a flamebot) set fire to the highly flammable cereal boxes that make up Cereal Killer. Leaving a charred pile of smoky remains and a hugely entertaining fight.

NHRL is the biggest and most accessible robot combat league in the world, home of the 3lb, 12lb and 30lb robot combat world championships.

We are one of the toughest places to win, but also one of the most friendly and welcoming for all ages and experience.

We have 6 live events per year, streamed exclusively on YouTube, where competitors battle to earn a place at the World Championships at the end of each season. We hand out tens of thousands of dollars in prize money every year.
