A new record-setting neutron star was just discovered sitting at a distance of around
three thousand light- years from Earth within the constellation of Sextans.
But this neutron star didn’t use to be a record breaker, it was once a pair of binary
stars in a system together.
The larger of the pair has been feeding on its partner and a large amount of dust and
gas swirling in this star system.
