I think Meta's Llama 3 is really underappreciated for what it is. Although it isn't superintelligence, the open source 70B parameter model achieved GPT-4 level intelligence with 15 times fewer parameters.
Even the tiny 8B model is better than Grok and GPT-3.5 across the board, despite being small enough to run on most gaming/work computers.
Just look at nature, everything can already be seen there. Just like the flowers and trees let the wind spread their pollen in spring. Some make it, some don't. I would say we are nearing the next extinction due the rapid advancement of AI. In my short lifetime I have went from using Dial-up internet and wired caller ID phones to having literal game logic and web code written for me within 15 seconds.

Yeah every planet we've discovered so far has been dead. That's because just like the dinosaurs they were all wiped out, luckily for us however, some creatures still survived the meteor which is why we're here right now, but if everything on Earth had been killed by it, then our planet would be an empty wasteland too. The only way to escape the inevitable fate that Earth won't last forever is to live somewhere else, so that way if Earth goes to Hell like the other planets we have a backup plan via Mars.

AI is dangerous, and poses a threat to our jobs, our society, and our very existence including what it means to be human. I am a programmer with a background in AI and I am warning people, like pioneers and experts have already done repeatedly! The best thing a sentient AI could do for humanity is to prevent us from killing each other, not by force, but by disrupting supply chains, communications, and financial transactions that enable the military machines throughout the world.

the Fermi Paradox: I have long held a theory that all the planets in our solar system are failed 'earths' beginning way out there with Pluto. we had to escape our own folly each time and now we are here. as for other people – yes I can see them all killing each other out if they are granted any intelligence – like we are about to do.
In my opinion there’s a lot of hype out there. At best maybe you might see robots make it into a wear house in some limited capacity. But even that is still decades away. In terms of buying a domestic servant good luck. That’s never going to happen ever. Why? Well it’s just too dangerous. Just think of what that could lead to. A hacker programs the robot to go do some evil deeds. That’s the first thing that would happen. Society as we know it could quickly fall apart. Which is why it’s all hype and conferences and exciting cgi YouTube videos but no any real world robots.
Elon musk is one of the fallen angels/ demons that got kick out from heaven for their rebellion. A lot of them are in this generation ( celebrities, politicians, scientists) Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon🙏🏼❤️🕊REPENT, believe in the Gospel, Be Born Again
