  1. I saw it with my friends when it first came out in theaters as well, I think it was 1986? But we saw it in one of those big theaters with a massive sound system that was incredible, it had huge speakers in the front, on the ceiling and in the back that gave you this 3D feeling, but that one scene when the drop ship is screaming down to the planet? "Were on an express elevator to hell" "On my mark….5…4…3…2…1…mark" and the ship drops and enters the atmosphere with engines absolutely SCREAMING, it was SO FCKIN LOUD me and my freinds were looking at each other "can you believe this?" It was SOOO damn intense!!! That was to me absolutely the scene where we knew this was a movie that was incredible

  2. (SPOILERS) I saw this at The Met in Winnipeg in 1986 when I was 15 years old. The highlight for me was when Ripley and Newt were on the tower of the atmosphere processor, getting ready to jump off, rather than be taken by the queen, and Bishop brings the missing drop-ship up behind them just in time. The audience went completely ape-shit in that theater. Grown-ass adults jumping out of their seats cheering and yelling. That was the coolest movie experience I've ever had.

  3. this movie is so well done, if you were to remove the aircraft scenes (even with AI enhanced they still look old, but only a minutes worth of footage) and played the movie to someone who hasnt seen it, they would think it was made yesterday

  4. I went with my father on a Thursday night showing at 10:00 in the evening. I was 14, and I was nervous about seeing it because the first one was so scary. I have a strained relationship with my father, but I remember that 2.5 hours to this day. Greatest movie experience I’ve ever had in a theater. I got past the scene where Ripley dreams about the chest-burster. After that scene, I told myself, ok, that’s not so bad, I can make it through this. When they introduces the marines, I felt safe and started to get into it. It was just a great memory.

  5. I'll never forget my movie going experience for aliens. The face hugger scene in that room. Had everyone going crazy especially when we saw Burke turn off the camera, but the theater went absolutely crazy at the last act of that film. People were walking out of the theater when Bishop got split in half and they all turned around, and rushed back to their seats to cheer and watch this fight between Ripley and the alien and it was like I was at a sporting event. The theater was so loud and everybody was screaming and clapping and it was unbelievable. I'll never forget it to this day.

  6. Quentin referred to Michael Bein's character in Aliens (Hicks) as 'Reese". Not sure if he got confused there or if he did it on purpose, but it was cool as fuck regardless.

  7. There’s something about Newt yelling HUDSON! Like a little girl screaming for her dad because a dog or something was about to get her!. Then when Hudson shoots it he’s actually pissed off beyond belief so he uses like a whole clip to destroy the thing like a father would if someone or something touched his daughter. Vasquez by comparison just gives the other one the to tiniest burst.

  8. i just hope he finishes the avatar series they are masterpieces. they are the best movies ever made in all time and history. we all should just be watching them all the time.

  9. Here is an idea that would actually work these days, what about remaking the monster squad, I mean come on definitely room for some improvement with the use of today's special effects, fuck five shites at freddys bring back monster squad and you can rock until we drop

  10. I really want to hear what Tarnatino thinks about Aliens; but first I want to know what I think about Aliens. What leaps out at me is the thermodynamics. Between bursting out of John Hurt's chest, and punching through Harry Stanton's cap, all it had was a cat! How could it have gotten so big so fast?

  11. I was 12 when I saw aliens in the theater. The single scene that absolutely scared me was the “ceiling scene”. For years afterwards, the thought of things hiding in false ceilings terrified me

  12. I was about 11 when it came out. Saw it one a sleepover shortly thereafter.
And the xenomorphs scared the crap out of me. And still kinda do. Part of the reason i love the first two.

  13. Ridley Alien gave us a Masterpiece.
Cameron Aliens perfected it with a great story line and gave us The Queen .
Woke Ridley Follow ups Prometheus , Covenant and Ramitinyerculus killed the whole Franchise. 👎🏼

  14. When I saw Aliens in the theater during its first run, the version we got to see had the sentry guns scene in it. I remember seeing the movie on rental later and thinking, "where's the scene with the sentry guns"? Didn't see them again until the directors cut.
