  1. I had no idea that it was this difficult to obtain a divorce in Victorian times. Its great that the Robinsons were able to initially gain separation, at least. But, eventually Mr. Robinson did receive a divorce from his wife, Mrs. Robinson because he was finally able to "catch her in the act," period! Do you know whatever happened to the Robinsons children? Also, whatever happened to Dr. Lane and his wife? Great investigating, presenting, backstories, illustrations, photos, and videos, as well. Take care 🦋

  2. That was the persecution of a woman’s imagination. I believe Darwin understood the case; would a person having an affair dare to put it in writing? Mrs. Robinson coped with her unhappy marriage by entering fantasies in her diary. Shame that a glass house like her husband shattered his wife’s own delicate foundations. What a sad case.

  3. As always I very much enjoyed your video. First l have to say that I think queen Victoria was right. This was a very odd case and I think that the judge was right in the decision. I do think that the language of the diary was very odd even for the time. So I will say that she just read more into it all than there was in reality. R.C. and team thank you for all your hard work putting out these videos l so look forward to them. Take care 🙏

  4. Oh dear!! What a palaver!! I'm so glad that it's a LOT easier to get divorced these days!! Being forced to be married to someone you don't love causes nothing but misery to all concerned, including any children of the marriage!!

I really enjoyed this, Robin!! Thanks for sharing!! 💕💞👏💙👍❤
