But if a card is encrypted, wouldn't it technically be that bumping into an employee is not enough? Cause breaking the encryption takes a lot of time, and bumping takes what, 1 minute?
I really liked Mr.Robot but after finding out they took the answer for Step 1 of the Defcon 22 Badge Challenge from PirateSoftwares write up, removed the challenge's creator's signature from the answer and posted it on twitter. Which led to the creator basically being doxed and the Mr.Robot twitter still never took the post down. That completely changes the respect I once had for that show.

Hey David, two things – constructive criticism.
First of all, obviously flipper zero in 2024 is a toy and can't do any damage to any reasonable place (I have yet to find a hotel where I can clone the card with it, not to mention some important facilities, so obviously PM – a dedicated tool for the job but also to a degree – is gonna be better.
Same for wifis. If you want a funny tool for screwing with wifis get a pwnagotchi if you cannot get or build a professional setup for that. Same goes for basically any other flipper zero functionality. it only works on super old systems like my door keyfob opener (not to my flat but to the outside door). F0 would have been scary had it been released in 2010 and yet people are freaking out when they see one. If I see someone taking one on an engagement I feel like I'm working with amateurs. Not that I'm a world class expert either but come on.
Another thing that drives me crazy:
there’s something cringy af about OTW. every time i see you praise him i feel like you’re just fueling his ego, i was like him when i was 11 making my baby steps in redhat Linux but then i just… grew up. And man, I'm really glad I have, now when I think of it.
I also never show my face online but come on, that black hoodie smartass wannabe figure is as bad as V-tubers. Your videos are really fun to watch and you certainly don't need this guy for your videos because he hasn't said a single thing you couldn't google, didn't already know or couldn't realize by applying basic logic.
(I even do believe he came up with that obvious "you don't need a good pc for hacking" – because people have been hacking governments before Intel pentium 100MHz cpus came out – all by himself).

I'm fascinated by how cyber crime works, been watching a lot of YouTube videos about it but they all focus on the crime but never the method, long time Linux user myself and how they use code and social engineering to hijack companies is amazing, though I don't endorse it!

Card copying has been around for decades btw. Old mag stripe shit with hotel keys. Ever seen a Marriot Room 136 Mastercard? Me neither, but theoretically one probably existed.

This is some interesting information. Way over my head. I really don’t understand a lot of this information. Is there a way to block a lot of this stuff. I believe my neighbor has been doing this or something similar. Cellphones, sound system, tv, blu ray player. All doing strange things by themselves. Just need some help.
