India has many National Parks, Wildlife Sanctuaries, and Biosphere Reserves for conservation of rare species. An area which has ecological, faunal, floral, geomorphological, or zoological association or importance is called National Park or Wildlife Sanctuary. National park and Wild Life Sanctuary are declared by State Government under Wildlife (Protection) Act,1972. The Central Government may also declare, Wild Life Sanctuary and National Park under certain conditions.
