  1. Why do people do all these processes, when they can just extract the sugar cane juice and boil it to produce molasses?
Molasses have all the nutrients (vitamins – B1,2,3,6 and minerals – iron, potassium, magnesium, etc.) that can lower the absorption of sugar from the blood and be really healthy for our bodies (sweet and healthy).
Compare to white sugar that has no nutrients and can cause diabetes.
So, we spend time, use ingredients, machinery and money (high cost) to produce something (sugar) that is totally inferior to just boiled sugar cane juice (molasses)!
A total (unhealthy) waste from every aspect!

  2. Where i am from, 7 in every 10 house, have sugarcane tree or whatever they call it in English. You can literally cut it in half and suck the inner thingy. It is sweet and feels good

  3. The process is much more complicated than I’d imagine, esp adding those chemicals. There must be years of process in the discovery and design the whole system. It does make the price more appreciated as well as honey more valued.
