  1. i read those are considered pee and stick panels. you dont treat them like a rollout carpet and just move it around and unroll it will nilly, i think anyways.im guess they intended this to be installed on a roof of building or rv. also, the open circuit voltage is not used for calculating wattage

  2. How well did this thing perform over the years? Heard flex panels drastically reduce in output performance with every passing year. What's your observation and opinion about them.

  3. how is this system 2 years later? Im looking to get something similar and wanted some review of this. im between buying flexible and regular glass ones. i feel if i buy these im going to regret it withing the year. im planning to start with solar withing 3 months. any input from anyone would be great.

  4. great video. YES the power calculations mentioned were incorrect yet it needs not be mentioned over and over. The Uni-Solar specs show a 4-5 amp power output at 25 volts or so. I looked it up and so can you. The point of the video is to show you that there are other offerings to consider amorphous solar panels and not all are junk.

  5. Hello, I recently bought this same to install on my shuttle van that I am converting to a house on wheels. It is currently to long for my roof. I read that they can be modified, ie, shortened or cut into 2 separate parts. Any chance you could attempt to do that , and do a video of the process? I really appreciate all your information. Thanks Eric

  6. i bought two! question …. i want to bypass the mc3 connection. how do i determine the positive and negative once i cut the mc3 termination? ,,, oh and thank you so much for everything you do!!! much love!

  7. Hi, will you try our flexible thin film solar panel same with Unisolar panels?
    We have 72W and 144W.

Besides, we have foldable thin film solar bag for outdoor activities and military use.
    39W, 78W and 118W available.

For more details, please feel free to send your request.

    Thanks.

  8. Kudos for your very informative videos. I follow you from Nairobi Kenya.

I am quite interested in these flexible panels. they look better and easier to install without roof penetration. We are planning two farm buildings measuring 70mx40m gable roof oriented East West. We want to go fully solar and harness the energy using these flexible. Miasole is producing FLEX–02 265NL flexible panel that are currently an attraction for the standing seam metal roof. This means we can have at least 650 Miasole panels on these roofs. I hope it is possible Miasole can produce 15m long panels to maximize on the surface available on our roof

    1. Is this enough power to charge Powerpack2 from Tesla. I have noted they sell a pair as a minimum.

    2. Is it feasible to run a production facility with equipment rated at 80KVA.

You can tell I am not well schooled in this energy business but at least I know we have a lot of sunshine here and I shall have huge surface that I can harness for optimal energy production.

Electricity is quite expensive here at about $25 cents per KWH which keeps fluctuating depending on availability of water in our hydroelectric dams.Together with milk goat farming we shall have a manufacturing facility that we want to power from solar if feasible.

My only concern with these flexible stick-on panel is the ease of removing at the end of their life considering standing seam metal roof could last over 50 years.

    Walk me through please.

  9. Can you build something to give energy back to system? I mean to stop paying that montly bill. Its that possible? Where we can buy a solar controler and a inverter?
