FINALLY! Installed Solar Panels for my Home and Bitcoin Miner
I just installed 50 panels to zero out my electricity bill for my home, as well as a full-size Bitcoin miner to earn passive income mining BTC while homesteading — we are making our own power with solar panels, water with a well, and our own money with ASIC miners! The sunglasses are cool, hush
Its a great video and what you are doing is decarbonising your mining setup, but you drank the Enphase coolaid and your going to lose money for a long time. Enphase havent kept up with current solar production and was not an optimal choice.
not the skin fade vosk xD
Looks great! Solar tracker plans?
14:04 oh the installer knows its undersized, but he said, "fuck you! Im not pulling anything bigger!" lol
9:10 clipping on an ac power sine wave isn't a good thing for electronics, but I know you know this production graph isn't showing ac sine wave clipping? Or am i confusing something?.. congrats on the install.. very intriguing to watch!
2:07 why do the bottom of the panels have chicken wire/screening?
Congrats!!! Great setup, but I couldn't understand why you went with 430w panels and 300w micro inverters. Why not use 300w panels? What am I missing here?
Congrats on the solar. Now you just need some batteries to sell it back at higher power rates.
jesuzzz that clipping is hurting my brain, feelings and citizenship
Take the glasses off :) Congrads on the kiddo! Time to start planning on how to not feel so stretched thin. Gots to make time the the wifey, baby and family. Those are the most important things in life.
Can't believe I been watching ya 2 for over 8 years! Way to go.
Do the solar panels allow you to lower your kWh from .14 to .075? Our flat rates our about the same and need some ideas on how to lower my rate.
Way to go!
Congrats man! Quite the achievement!
Very very nice
Im in the same boat Vosk! Im running my Antminer S19k and a few Bitaxes via Solar + my home– but im running it all on Solo as the energy cost is free I figured i'd roll the dice on the entire hashrate it generates and support the network! 🧡
Batteries make a cool system into an amazing system
So happy for you man. I know this has been a big goal for you. Looking forward to more growth 💪🏻
Good job nice setup..
👍
Sorry I just have to say this. I first heard about the hole in the ozone in like the 6th grade. I think it was in the late 80's. You know when they first found out about it. Then they started to study it.
By the time I was in high school I thought. It changes with how much sun is actually hitting the south pole. It takes sun light to make ozone. So how is there a problem with no ozone and no sun to make it.
Glad that thirty years later they have finally figured it out. I'm glad that you are trying to lower your impact on the planet. Learn and make the farm better.
congrats to your setup. i got a much smaller pv system myself but with a 10kWh battery. i was wondering since you plan to mine with pv energy: how do you mine when the sun is not shining? do you turn the miners off when your plan doesn't produce enough eletricity? i think a battery with enough capacity to push btc miners through the night are not feasable. would be interested to hear about that…
Congratulation 🎊 👏
