You need it side by side, with solar technology, because of it mechanical natural there will be alot of Tire and wear in the long run, thereby giving a lot of advantages to Solar panels.

I like it! Looks easy to set up while at camp and an easy/quiet solution to complement the campsite. I’d like to see it set up at the beach and see what type of return you’d get with the higher winds.
For me it seems too complicated for camping and not heavy duty and durable enough for permanent installation.
It's not really a windmill it's a wind generator.
Wow! $1900 for this, I can buy a single solar cell that can produce 2x the power for only $200. I wonder if it can last as many years as a solar cell.
I can see someone getting this and setting it up permanently. But if you are traveling, you'll not want to tear down and set up. Cant see the elderly being able to do this.

Wind is unreliable and always will be. Yeah, I know. It's just to supplement solar panels. Still, it has moving mechanical, electrical parts. That means inevitable down time, maintenance and cost.
Those blades are way too small to do anything.
This is awesome!… but if I'm taking it to camping… bring my 3D printer just in case! Not a bad idea though. lol
IMO: too loud. For me: Solar + Net Metering with no batteries with back up gen.

12:19 now that I watch the entire video. It looks a little bit on the complicating side as far as putting it together. It looks like a lot of parts, but the nice thing is like you said everything is color-coded.

Don't ditch the solar panels. Windmills are finicky and unreliable. If you live with one thru a winter , you will be ditching it by spring. I've had them, they suck.
Solar wind and rain. All work together.
