To help clarify why she would not be able to see without damage to her eyes: the back of the head is the occipital lobe, where vision is processed. If it's damaged, your brain can't understand images from your eyes.

This always makes me feel sick to my stomach, not only for the deceased, but what happened with the children after that? That young man will have his life forever changed by this. I hope he got lots of help with his mental health after this. Because his mental health was very much at stake from this. His father didn’t love anyone but himself.

I was attacked on the street. I lived on Brown Street New Haven Connecticut in 1979. It was a robbery attempt. I was hit multiple times with pipe wrenches. Tire irons in the head and legs. I had a stroke in 2019. I believe that that was caused by the attack many years ago. The only reason I am alive today is because D came out with one of my weapons and fired in the air. They scattered the rats they were. D drove took me to the hospital. The blood was dripping in my mouth. My eyes I kept going in and out of consciousness. I didn't know where I was, but I knew I was in a lot of pain. I never stepped out of my vehicle again.Without my pistol, my hand was a Walther PPK double action summit. One in the chamber.Ready to go the flip of the thumb the pull of the trigger. I refuse to let anyone ever do that to me again .
I'm glad Ashley got her sight back and has a quality of life she can understand and enjoy. Head wounds are so catastrophic. You don't know what you've got left or what will return until it's all healed. God bless her.

I used to have 2 extremely protective big dogs. Sadly they passed away from old age. I now have 2 very large cats that attack anyone who comes into my house. They each weigh over 100 pounds and attack anyone who isn’t me that tries to walk into my house. They both go for the persons head and face first. They use big teeth and claws. I have a no trespassing sign and beware of cat signs up.
My door is kept locked at all times but someone would have go through me before they got to hurt my cats.
One of my sisters once told me “ your cats need manners” to which I immediately responded “ they have manners, all bad”!
Amazing work by the detective who was able to get the son to confess.
Almost impossible to wrap your mind around the demon of a father. Sets up his own kids to take his fall. Absolute garbage human being. And I don't believe these women & kids are his only victims. But wouldn't even wanna know the kind of evil hes done.

The skills,patience and determination of the forensic team cannot be understimated! Amazing that they found evidence from just footprints in the snow!
More work needs t be done to enable victims of Domestic Violence to feel able to get help and be safe! The unfortunate 'culture' of ' don't want t get involved' n some just thinking it's not a police matter coz it's only husband/ wife stuff….etc n historic lack of action when a victim initially makes contact and asks f help ( often alerting the abuser n putting them more at risk) puts some in even more fear and so they hesitate to seek help! This is not helped by those folk who ' invent' accusations that are untrue in Divorce Procceedings!
Bless Ashley for being the person she is…n her strength of Faith is something that enables her to make the best of the rest of her life! Her honesty ( didn't invent any explanations) enabled the prosecution t go ahead.
