Chinese AI chatbot DeepSeek sparks turmoil in US tech markets | BBC News
Shares in major US technology firms have fallen steeply in value after the sudden emergence of a low-cost chatbot built by a Chinese artificial intelligence firm.
The DeepSeek app, which was launched last week and reportedly developed for a fraction of the cost of its rivals, has overtaken rivals including ChatGPT to become the most downloaded free app in the US.
Shortly after US markets opened, DeepSeek says it was hit with a “large-scale malicious attack”.

Why panic?!! It's built out of $ 6 million because it's not built from 'ground level up', it's produced from snatched away product! Moreover, if it's possible to create such a high level of AI product from lower grade Chips(stolen ones) then all you've to do is work on the higher grade Chips that you already have them and you'll definitely get results much better than deepseek!
