  1. I grabbed an old 250w household solar panel from the council dump shop for $20. Added a Kings solar converter for $50. Other controllers I looked into couldn't convert the 38v into 12v. When my camper is closed up the panel is on top and charging everything inside. Unpacked the panel is attached on a hinge so that when the boatrack is swivelled off to the side the solar panel points to the sky. Powering a 110L dual zone fridge freezer, 200AH batteries, and multiple 12v, usb outlets. Didn't want to fit a dc-dc converter to the car for the same reasons as when you stop at camp for multiple days.

  2. I just picked a brand new 440w panel for $80, and grabbed a Renogy DCC50S dual input DC to DC charger with MPPT for $377. 200kwh LiFPO4 slimline battery next, then an install in my MUX – sorted!

  3. Awesome Ep and great advise and setup Phil. I do the ex zackly the same. we have a Jinko 545 watt Bifacial ex solar farm or house panel on top of our 80 series We see 40 amps out of it, from our 40 amp Kickass MPPT controller We have to Upgrade to a 100/ 50 Victron Controller one day. then it mite do better.
