  1. " This is the captain speaking… if you are wearing Revlon lipstick #127 La Bamba Red or have one on your person, please raise your hand & follow the heavily-armed Air Marshalls to the back of the airplane for some coffee and a light beating."

  2. Do they still let you listen to pilot radio chatter on the airplane radio?! Because that would be wild to listen to in real time.

Edit: plot twist; the flight attendant wrote it because she suddenly realized she forgot her kids birthday, for the third year in a row.

  3. Idk if anybody else knows this but all aircraft carry a quick reference handbook (QRH) that has all relevant information on any emergency procedures, one of which is Bomb-on-Board and they will outline the necessary steps a pilot needs to take in order to mitigate some of the risks associated with such threats

  4. Seems to me that an aircraft like that should have cameras onboard for security reasons. If they did, it would be a very easy thing to do a roll back and see who had gone into the restroom. If they don't have security cameras… why not?

  5. ATC: "There's a bomb on board?"

Pilot: "That's correct. We'd like to return to Chicago…"

ATC: "Uh… Chicago is saying that you should land in Milwaukee instead. O'Hare is…uh…closed. Yeah… It's closed for the night. Milwaukee will take good care of you, though."

  6. The fact theyre going back to Chicago just proves to me that they asked company what to do before contacting tower. If the threat was real and a bomb exploded on that plane, the whole calling company thing would probably get some type of rule against it when in emergency situations. As it already should tbh. Im not certain about this, but it seems to be highly probable as to why they went back to Ohare. United didnt wanna deal with the potentially stranded passengers so they request outlandish shit from the pilots. In most other countries theres alteady rules against that behavior and designated diversion sites for ANY threat like this….and it would never be a place like Ohare in those countries. As an aviation guy that shit makes me sick that its a thing in the USA. Company also bullies pilots into thinking that behavior is normal or theyll lose their job. One day itll be a lawsuit or a plane being brought down because a company was greedy.

  7. They misunderstood the message: it actually said "sorry about the smell, I had spicy tacos earlier and I just dropped a jalapeno beef bomb in the toilet"
