Thank you so much. I did this crossword yesterday. I didn’t get all the answers, but your explanations of my “missings” really helped me.
I live about 20 miles from Settle which is a small town in the Yorkshire Dales. I know the place quite well and still got answer based on crossing letters and the other half of the definition so I think there’s going to be a lot of UK-based people who haven’t heard of Settle, let alone anyone trying from overseas!
