At Home: Cooking & Chatting – Flea finds, a rant, chilli

Today I’m starting in the kitchen getting a chilli (meat-free, soya-free, Quorn free) underway before a natter about, amongst other things, flea market finds, a rant about annoying acting/actor habits and my latest DVD watches….one of which bowled me over and will stay with me for a long time.

  1. I watched the film The Windermere Children years ago. As you said, a stunning film. It stayed with me for a long time. Thank you for the reminder, I put it on my list to watch again 😊

  2. Im with you on Bergerac Vivi. It took me three attempts to watch episode 1. I did watch it all, but it had nothing to indicate it was Jersey. Sweeping panoramic views of the bay Nope! Could have been filmed anywhere and the whispering nooo! I love Zoe Wanaker, so I wanted to see how it played out. Hard going.

  3. My pet peeve in movies/ TV is when they have the take out cups of coffee and they are blatantly empty. Put water in it at least. When you put an empty paper cup down its a distinct sound.

  4. Yep, I can't count how many times I've stopped watching something because the woman is portrayed as either a phycho, nymphomaniac or poor little downtrodden woman who cant get by without a man. Yawn. Talking of good films though,
have you seen the brilliant Bridges of Maddison County ?

  5. I agree with the acting and plot lines of some films and programs.

  6. Hi Vivi hope all is well with you, you mentioned that your knees have been hurting you this week well I suffer badly with the same and I have recently been rubbing in some tiger balm which has helped a lot. I also use knee pain relief patches which also help with the pain bought from Amazon, hope you get some relief as silly as it sounds I don’t think stress helps. Hope things come right for you love.
