  1. Mobile phone use and harms: iโ€™m currently seeing a lot of ads about radiation harms from cellphones and stick on gadgets to reduce them. Iโ€™ve also read that cellphone radiation is NOT harmful because itโ€™s low grade non-ionising radiation, unlike ionising radiation from X rays etc. Any clarification?

  2. Thank you so much for posting this helpful information! going from 500-600 cases in one month for something as extremely contagious as measles, is very serious.

  3. What are the confounding factors in the cell phone study?
Has wealth been accounted for? Does social status drive cell phone usage in children?
Do family belief factors or family status affect the childs well being as well as phone ownership?

  4. Interesting finding regarding kids and smartphones…could the mere fact of smartphone ownership now signal wealth and status more? I remember when I was a kid, braces on one's teeth made one an object of ridicule. I only have anecdotal evidence of this, but braces can now be seen as a status symbol, something to be celebrated–your folks can afford to have your teeth straightened. Just a thought…

  5. I think kids with smart phones see their friends in person more because they can communicate with them more easily. My 12 year old has a phone. I discourage her from using social media, and she's not very interested in it yet, but she has group chat with friends and often plays social games on her phone. It is important for kids to know not everyone is who they seem to be online and what information they definitely shouldn't share with someone they haven't met in person.

  6. I'm going to keep repeating here how gratifying your channel is for your calm, measured and factual reporting. News whose only bias is science. You are a calm eye in a hurricane of hysterical overacting nonsense. Thank you for your professionalism.

  7. Measles depleats memory B- and T-cells causing immune amnesia. This weakens immune defenses against previous encountered pathogens making you susceptible to infections that the body had already built immunity against.
