Another helicopter crash part found in Hudson River



Divers recovered what appears to be the rotor of the helicopter that crashed into the Hudson River. CBS News New York’s Christine Sloan reports.

  1. Tail rotor shaft failure I figure. It was the first part to go and only later did the transmission, mast and blades come away. There was a 206 that suffered a tail rotor shaft failure in Australia due to corrosion but it was able to land as it was only 40 odd feet in the air and operating at slow speed.
