  1. Great video, prof. By the way – and it's totally not your fault – but it's "darby-shuh" and "darby". "Der-by" is very grating to an English ear. Just looking out for you, fam.

  2. Loved the trip in Egypt, I'll wait to see what you include in Mexico but I've already done a similar trip in Mexico somewhat based on your previous travel series so likely not tagging along on this one.

  3. They've found a donkey skeleton from 100 BC in France. The Gauls must have had tens of millions of them. It's impossible to manage herds this size without helicopters and computers.

  4. this was really awesome i especially thought the burials for non nobility and the puppets were amazing. i wish i could go on one of your group trips but watching the travel guides has been really awesome for someone like me who will never be able to go to those places and see those things
also is it just me or was derbyshire structure on time team
also also, there are large swathes of the usa where the water is undrinkable, and not just because it has different microbes in it but because we have chosen to let our infrastructure go to pot. if we want nice cities and towns we need to be willing to invest in them

  5. I found that cold working of copper always implied the smelting of an ingot preceeded it. However this was not what I or my collaegues were taught in college. Seemed obvious our feild was so holllistic we easily overlooked consulting the professions which continue the practice into the present day.

  6. The notifications of when someone donates money are very distracting. Yes, you are trying to earn a living, but these notifications disrupt the flow of the information; I realize that in this modern day when adhd is becoming the norm, but this just encourages the disorder. And, since I appear to be in a curmedgeonly mood: your feud with Graham Hancock is getting to a point where it almost dominates your channel. I started watching World of Antiquity to learn about ancient history, but now, between the appeals for money (which are headed toward 1980s televangelist levels) and the snipes at Grahem Hancock (who does deserves contempt), I am beginning to question why I subscribe.
