Singapore’s solar deployment on track to hit 2030 target: Energy Market Authority
Singapore’s solar deployment has grown significantly, with its installed capacity increasing by about 10 times in the last seven years. The Energy Market Authority says the country is on track to achieve its goal of at least two gigawatt-peak of solar deployment by 2030. And while Singapore’s electricity tariffs continues to be driven by gas prices, the falling costs of solar panels may offer a solution in bringing prices down. But where should these panels be installed in land-scarce Singapore? CNA’s Syahida Othman speaks to Dr Thomas Reindl, Deputy CEO of the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore at the National University of Singapore. She finds out what is the potential for more solar panels in residential areas, and if the focus should turn to industrial and even HDB blocks. Read more: https://cna.asia/3XIrw9o

When solar panels are installed that tapped from sun power but the electricity bill are still going up.don't blame the costs of solar panel , no one ask for solar panel .if solar panel can't bring down electricity bill why waste resources implementing solar panel , any movements from producing to installation all involved used of materials that directly or indirectly affecting global warming.
Life in singapore is not normal, from me Indonesia
Singapore is probably the most problematic country to install solar. Logically Singapore would benefit from partnerships of offshore nuclear. Stable on demand 24/7/365.
THANK YOU PAP GOVT 🙏
Curious with the installation on hdb rooftops. Does it help to reduce house hold electrical bill usage? Not just to power common walkway lights and lifts. It should also help households with electrical bills. But does not seems so
🤣🤣🤣good luck with the electronic waste and the theft of the materials with the open visas.🤣🤣🤣
We don’t have enough real estate to be feasible anyway
Also sg tops world first in scams city of course, majority people said it's a matter of time before the remaining singapore reserves $$ be scammed away, or by the pap party of course.
As the saying goes: the people like to choose the pap party so let the people suffer.
The pap party still dare to allow non singaporeans to buy hdb flats even knowing that sg run out of land to build hdb flats and run out of road for cars.
Also surprisingly majority people said the people are the every day opposition people themselves.
Surprisingly majority people said there are no more food safety and other safety, the next meal the people eat are likely the last meal of their lives.
What's important lucky I didn't had any brand of the jab before and that's why never sick before, as majority people said after they took the jabs previously but nowadays they only became more and more easily to fall sick, it's the pap party mistakes and there's no way to u-turn back.
Majority people said the pap party holding all the money and own self collect own self 's highest pay etc, but only gave singaporeans a little money the pap party call helping the people.
Who be the Pm also no use at all, majority people said they choose the pap party but only getting more and more sufferings and problems from the pap party always of course.
What's important singapore became a multi-nation country, multi-nation-singapore so even with the saf soldiers also no use, it's the pap party mistakes and there's no way to u-turn back.
Wow! That's a first-world PAP govt ranked the most effective in the world. Opposition parties certainly have a lot to learn from PAP.❤
God she works on overtime 😂
Why does most CNA presenters always take a hugh breath before speaking. Its so loud, irritating, and off-putting. Learn some breathing control from the nose and not your mouth. So unprofessional
PAP puts so much resource into a renewable that is projected to contribute only 10% of SG's energy needs. None into nuclear technologies. Most resources into non-renewable of natural gas. If Singaporeans think PAP is serous about climate change, think again.
Smr soon😊, E bill back to 1990
Giam acknowledged the hard work of unionists but critiqued systemic constraints on union independence, He argued that his proposals for greater union independence aim to empower workers’ representatives to advocate more effectively for their interests.
Can I assume that … if the PAP were to ever lose power, the NTUC would therefore become an instrument of opposition against the new government?”
Gerald Giam highlighted the need for unions to be independent and nonpartisan to better represent workers’ interests.
PAP MPs attack WP Gerald Giam in Parliament over NTUC independence from ruling party
We are reminded that at the heart of the PAP machine is still the elitist “natural aristocracy” mindset, which has persisted for at least 16 years if not more than that
At least the PAP is a consistent party – its leaders still mock those who exhibit some sense of compassion for the needy.
ELSON: It’s refreshing to hear the private thoughts of PAP ministers and MPs outside of the feel-good balderdash that they preach in front of the cameras.
“If these proposals were not serious, why did the PAP take them onboard and devote fiscal resources to fund them and policy resources to implement them?” Pritiam Singh questioned.
No ones cares what you say about Spam
PAP have dishonest ministers who can lied in parliament
