I love fruit cake. Love the taste, but I have tried for years to find one as good as my mother used to make. I usually get myself one for my birthday.

My Appendix had be taken out at age 7. I wonder if children live there? If so what age do they have this operation?
We always received a fruit cake from one of my aged relatives when my family lived in Minnesota, many years ago. I did like the cakey part of it, but the "fruit" was always sour and weird tasting, and I can live without it!
