Thats a PR stunt, The humanoids are 10 times too slow. But the robot arms used for the real work are amazing
Using human form robots is stupid. Other designs are much faster and more stable, can lift more, and have more effective and efficient manipulators.
Fossil fuel companies are running โa massive mis- and disinformation campaignโ to slow down the energy transition according to the UN, reports the Guardian. It quotes Selwin Hart, the assistant secretary general of the UN, who said in a statement: โThere is this prevailing narrative โ and a lot of it is being pushed by the fossil fuel industry and their enablers โ that climate action is too difficult, itโs too expensive. It is absolutely critical that leaders, and all of us, push back and explain to people the value of climate action, but also the consequences of climate inaction.โ The newspaper says Hart contrasted the campaign with a recent survey that found SEVENTY-TWO PERCENT (72%) of people wanted a โquick transitionโ AWAY FROM FOSSIL FUELS. It says: โGreen parties and plans may have suffered reverses in some parts of the world, he said, but in others they have gained seats, and seen policies that would once have been considered radical enter the mainstream.โ
Those humanoid robots look more like a publicity gimmick. Humans and non-humanoid robots can work much faster.

This looks like pilot program similar to what BMW is doing with Figure gen 2 in their South Carolina plant. Then of course there is the Tesla bot gen 3 which is said to be in their California factory with a said couple of thousand by next year. This is going to get interesting.
Iโd still have a hard time justifying buying an EV without FSD capability, no matter how good the rest of the car is.

Highly skilled and educated engineers will be needed to monitor them so higher paid less labor-intensive jobs, so a win win for a country with a declining and ageing population. The video of the robot is embarrassing. Noting but fake attempt to say they are using robots. Why not put a toaster beside the line. It could be as useful as this fake robot.

there you go again.. labour is cheap in China you said.. no.. labour is not cheap.. the currency exchange rate is cheap.. and are kept very low on purpose.. you westerners has this delusion Chinese or asian labour are cheap.. you need to figure out how come they are building infrastructures on a staggering scale that would have cost tenths of trillion in the west.. whilst those in the west are collapsing.. at the end of the day.. they got first class infrastructure and you got the delusion of a high wage that actually buy less than the Chinese can buy with what they earn..
