Even today, one of the world’s greatest mysteries is the Great Pyramid of Giza. Scientists still don’t fully understand how or why it was built, despite centuries of inquiry. No human bones, artefacts, jewellery, or works of art, nor the domestic objects an entombed pharaoh would be buried with for use in the afterlife, have ever been discovered within it.
Due to these flaws in the theory that the Great Pyramid served as a tomb, a variety of alternate explanations for its use have been proposed over the years, ranging from an astrological temple to a grain storage facility and beyond. In the 1960s, a man by the name of Edward Kunkel gave rise to one of the most astonishing hypotheses ever.
