  1. 1947 saw the world fundamentally change—from the fall of empires to rising Cold War tensions. But what event do you think had the biggest long-term impact? Let us know your thoughts below!

  2. Great episode as always. I was slightly disappointed you didn't mention what actually crashed in Roswell New Mexico was a result of Project Mogul. A high altitude balloon lunched by the US army to detect long distance sound waves from Soviet atomic bomb tests. I suppose aliens are a more entertaining notion though.

  3. I hear there is this Dr. Frederic Wertham dude starting to make hay about comic books. I don’t think it will amount to anything like comic book burnings. After all, no innocents are being seduced by comic books, right?

All these things saved an tremendous amount of times for housewives and moms at home, and I think helped with women permanently entering the workforce on a large scale.

  7. Can you please turn off the automatic AI translation? As to my knowledge the uploader can do that. The AI voice in German is absolutely annoying. I can turn the voice off myself too, but I guess, if you do it it would be much better for the viewers.

  8. I love the idea that in 1947 people thought that reducing tariffs would be a good idea. Hopefully the current president of the USA could watch and learn!

  9. You did not mention a minor Axis power in Asia–Tailand. Though a state of war was never formally recognized by the United State and Britain, Tailand did sign the Axis tri-partite pact in 1942. What is to be it's status?
