Carolina Gaviria is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, and a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Consultant with more than 20 years of experience in the field of mental health. Carolina is originally from Colombia, South America. She moved to the United States in 2000, and has worked with adults, adolescents, and children with eating disorders and negative body image, substance abuse, and trauma. She has a private practice in the Coconut Creek area, and through her work, Carolina has helped many individuals and families recover and develop the tools they need to succeed.
Carolina is fluent in Spanish and German and has published articles and presented at national and international conferences on eating disorders, depression, anxiety and stress management. Carolina has been featured on WBWP-LD television, Discovery Mujer, and MundoFox discussing the struggles behind eating disorders, weight loss, stress, trauma, and addictions, and the importance of awareness, early intervention, and multidisciplinary treatment.
