Knowledge is Power- Raising Agriculture-Literate Kids

What if the next generation knew where their food came from? What if they understood the land, touched the soil, asked questions about their meals, and saw farming as more than just rows of corn—but as a story of health, community, and power?

Our Ag Adventures Camp—a day where kids didn’t just play outside, they made discoveries. They husked corn, explored tractors, worked in the garden, made oobleck, and followed a kernel’s journey from planting to plate. But most importantly, they connected.

At Project Wild Rooted, we believe that raising curious, critical thinkers includes connecting kids to nature. Understanding food systems isn’t just fun—it’s necessary. In a world where health choices are harder, we need kids who can think for themselves. Who know how to ask, “Where did this come from?” and “What impact does this have on my body, my planet, my future?”
