Elders, Traditional Rulers, and senior stakeholders in Otukpo District of Benue state, led by Deputy Governor Eng Benson Abounu, have disassociated themselves from a recent protest by a group of youth under the “Otukpo Redemption Movement” against the Federal University of Health Sciences Otukpo. They stated they were not aware of any planned protest and that dialogue was the only way to resolve issues. The elders pledged to unite the Idoma Nation and urge the people to disregard the protest.
