Recently, I participated in a helicopter flight in Kyoto. About 20 minutes by car from Kyoto Station, we headed to Kyoto JPD Heliport. (Mukōjima Yanagishima 1, Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, 612-0000)
We arrived a bit early, so we took a short walk around Kyoto Station before heading to the heliport. When we arrived, my friend was nervous about her first flight, but the warm smiles and kind explanations from the staff eased her nerves.
In the helicopter, we could talk with the pilot and friends through the headphones, and seeing Kiyomizu Temple and the Imperial Palace Kyoto from above was like discovering a new world.
